Broadwindsor Cricket Club was founded in 1923 and since 1965 has played at the picturesque Beaminster Road ground, located on the southern edge of the village.
Broadwindsor CC play in the Mid-Wessex Cricket League on Sundays and against touring teams on Saturdays. Since 1983 the club has organised and hosted the Middleton-Hands Trophy - a mid-week evening league competition for local works and pub teams which culminates in a Finals Day in September.

Broadwindsor CC play in the Mid-Wessex Cricket League (40 overs) on most Sunday afternoons. Each season the club plays a number of friendly games and also hosts touring teams.
Finals Day of the Middleton-Hands Trophy in 2024 was washed out twice and so will be played in early May, before the 2025 competition gets underway.
Congratulations to two regular Broadwindsor players, Toby Pattemore, who opened the bowling for Ilminster (4-0-25-1) as they won the Somerset Senior League 20/20 final at the county ground, Taunton on Sunday 3rd August.
Also to Ali Crawford who was selected for Zimbabwe over 50’s who played against England over 50’s at Horsham, East Sussex also on Sunday 3rd August.
